Communication and Information System: to cultivate academic and technical backbones in the field of communication and information system who have a solid knowledge of relevant basic theories and professional expertise and are capable of analyzing and solving specific problems.
Signal and Information Processing:to cultivate academic and technical backbones in the field of information science and engineering who have a solid knowledge of relevant basic theories and professional expertise and are capable of analyzing and solving specific problems.
Information Security:to cultivate academic and technical backbones in the field of information security, who have a solid knowledge of relevant basic theories and professional expertise (especially of communication security and wireless network security) and are capable of analyzing and solving specific problems.
1)      Wideband wireless transmission theory and multi-access technology; 2) signal processing in communication; 3) theory and application of mobile communication network and system; 4) theory and technology concerning digital signal processing; 5) statistical signal processing and array signal processing 6) multimedia signal processing 7) network and distributed signal processing; 8) cryptology theory and security protocol and dependable computing chips; 9) identity recognition and authentication; 10) wireless communication network security

To cultivate high-level professionals in the area of electromagnetic field and microwave technology who are armed with good morality, a solid knowledge of mathematics, physics and professional expertise, and capable of independent research and innovations. 
1 Research Orientation:
1)      Microwaves and millimeter waves circuits and systems and their applications; 2)antenna, radio wave propagation and electromagnetic compatibility; 3) radio frequency technology in wireless communication; 4) new electromagnetic materials
